SEHA nutrition clinics introduces new device to check mineral imbalances

ABU DHABI, Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a SEHA healthcare facility, has offered the Oligocheck test across its nutrition clinics in line with the network’s commitment to providing high quality healthcare services.

Oligocheck is an advanced device that allows practitioners to test patients for mineral imbalances and heavy metals. In addition to the Oligocheck, clinics have also been equipped with a body mass analysis device that measures muscle ratio, fat and bone density.

16,003 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered in past 24 hours: MoHAP

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that 16,003 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered during the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 17,699,486 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 178.96 doses per 100 people.

The vaccination drive is in line with the Ministry’s plan to provide the vaccine to all members of society and acquire immunity, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the spread of the virus.

UAE announces 1,076 new COVID-19 cases, 1,649 recoveries, 2 deaths in last 24 hours

ABU DHABI, The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that it conducted 309,026 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

In a statement on Sunday, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced 1,076 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 709,378.

According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.

MoHAP also announced two deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 2,020.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,649 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 690,926.

FNC, PAM discuss parliamentary ties

ABU DHABI, Members of the UAE Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council (FNC) have met virtually with Gennaro Migliore, Chair of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), to discuss means of bilateral cooperation and coordination at the regional and international parliamentary levels.

Present at the meeting were FNC members Maryam Majid bin Theneya, Chairwoman of the division’s representative group in the Mediterranean region, Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of the group, and Hind Humaid Al Alili.

During the meeting, FNC members highlighted the UAE’s efforts in combatting terrorism and extremist in accordance with its comprehensive vision and clear stance, and in promoting values of tolerance and coexistence among nations.

The two sides also highlighted the importance of boosting cooperation and coordination at the regional and international parliamentary levels to mitigate the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to ensure a fair distribution of the vaccines.

They also referred to the vital role parliaments play in boosting bilateral relations in various fields, in line with the aspiration of the people and the directives of the governments.
