Berliner Tageszeitung: Criminal complaint in Berlin, Germany, against Elon Musk and Twitter for possible fraud to the detriment of users

BERLIN, May 31, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — BERLINER TAGESZEITUNG reports today that a criminal complaint has been filed with the Berlin public prosecutor’s office against Elon Musk, file number: 253 UJs 1012/23, alleging that Musk charged Twitter users on their credit cards but blocked them without giving any reason.

Incidentally, this is not the first time Elon Musk has been investigated, as there is also currently an investor lawsuit against Tesla CEO Elon Musk. It later emerged that there were no firm commitments from investors.

RUSSIAN FORCES WIPE OUT LAST UKRAINIAN COMBAT SHIP IN ODESSA: TOP BRASS

Russia’s Aerospace Forces destroyed the last Ukrainian combat ship in the Odessa port in the special military operation in Ukraine, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Wednesday. “On May 29, the Ukrainian Navy’s last combat ship Yury Olefirenko was destroyed as a result of a strike by the Russian Aerospace Forces’ precision weapons against the anchorage of naval ships in the Odessa port,” the spokesman said. ILO expects unemployment rates to drop to pre-pandemic levels

The International Labour Organisation (ILO) Wednesday said global unemployment is expected to drop in 2023 to below pre-pandemic levels, while estimates indicate that low-income countries are still far behind in the recovery process. Jordan-Japan friendship association founding announced in ceremony

Prince El Hassan bin Talal patronised Wednesday a ceremony announcing the founding of the Jordan-Japan Friendship Association. Prince El Hassan discussed in a speech the “importance” of the deep-rooted Jordanian-Japanese ties, calling for building bridges of cooperation between East and West Asia. He discussed the association’s role in building and strengthening relations, noting the role of culture in enabling and strengthening ties between countries and respect for difference and pluralism. His speech focused on business, science and culture in building partnerships and promoting peace, noting the “need” to develop a comprehensive cultural commitment based on dialogue and celebrating diversity. Health Ministry launches comprehensive screening campaign for tuberculosis in central and reserve correctional facilities

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for the Primary Health Care Sector, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mansour, along with the Head of the Rehabilitation and Rehabilitation Department at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Abdul Hameed Al-Moayyed, inaugurated today the national campaign for a comprehensive examination of tuberculosis for inmates and workers in central and reserve correctional facilities in seven provinces.

At the launch of the campaign, which is being implemented by the National Tuberculosis Control Program at Health Ministry, in cooperation with the Preventive Medicine Department at the Ministry of Interior, over a period of 30 days, under the slogan “Towards Tuberculosis-Free Prisons,” the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health explained that the campaign comes within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to deliver all medical and treatment services to All those in need, including inmates in correctional facilities and prisons.

During his review of the workflow of the campaign in the central correctional facility in the capital Sana’a, he urged the field teams to achieve the campaign’s goals by targeting all inmates and workers in the targeted correctional facilities.

For his part, Al-Moayyed appreciated the efforts of Health Ministry and the workers in the national program to combat tuberculosis and their keenness to implement the campaign in a number of provinces.

In turn, the director of the National Program for Tuberculosis Control, Dr. Ehab Al-Saqqaf, indicated that this campaign is being implemented for the first time to reduce the spread of tuberculosis and create a clean healthy environment within the central correctional facilities.

He noted the cooperation of the leadership of the Rehabilitation and Reform Authority in facilitating the work of the campaign, which targets, as a first stage, the central prisons in the provinces of “Amanat Al-Asimah, Al-Hodeida, Ibb, Taiz, Al-Bayda, Sa’ada and Hajjah.”
