ABU DHABI, — The 2nd international conference for the Khalifa Award for Education concluded in Abu Dhabi today.

It was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Khalifa Award for Education.

During the two-day event, held at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi under the theme, “Exploring the future of education in the UAE”, experts pointed to the importance of restructuring educational institutions to leverage their efficiency and enhance transparency and corporate governance principles.

They also stressed the importance of promoting awareness of the initiative of the UAE Ministry of Education, which included associated indicators and performances aimed at promoting various educational components such as students, teachers and curricula, educational institutions among others.

The experts also hailed the educational development witnessed by the UAE and the attention given by the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Supreme Council Members, Their Highnesses Rulers of the Emirates, to this vital sector.

They also appreciated the guidelines mentioned in the opening speech of Sheikh Mansour, which stressed the importance of these directives for the benefit of strategic plans and initiatives meant to develop the educational process.
