BEIJING, 6th December, 2015 (WAM) — An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit the Tacheng prefecture in China’s Xinjiang autonomous region on Sunday.

Xinhua News Agency quoted China Earthquake Networks Centre as saying the epicentre was monitored at 43.8 degrees north and 85.1 degrees east. The quake struck at a depth of 13 km.

No casualties or reports of damage have been received yet.
