SYDNEY, 19th November, 2015 (WAM) — A 6.8-magnitude quake struck off the Solomon Islands late Wednesday night, the US Geological Survey has said, but no tsunami warning was issued.

The tremor, with a depth of 10.82 kilometres, struck 119 kilometres southwest of Dadali in the Pacific Solomon Islands at 2.31 a.m.. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre said in a statement that there was no tsunami threat from the quake based on all available data.
