OTTAWA, 28th September, 2016 (WAM)–H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met on Tuesday in the Canadian capital, Ottawa, the Honourable Stephane Dion, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada.
During the meeting, they reviewed distinguished relations between the UAE and Canada and ways of enhancing them. They also tackled cooperation in various fields as well as exchanging views on the latest regional and international developments.
Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of relations between the UAE and Canada and ways to strengthen them in all fields.
The Canadian Foreign Minister welcomed the visit of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and the accompanying delegation. He noted that his visit to Canada reflects the keenness of the leaders of the two countries to exchange the visits and hold meetings, with the aim to further boost the bilateral relations in the best interest of both countries and peoples.
Mohammed Saif Hilal Al Shehhi, UAE ambassador to Canada, and Mohammed Sharaf, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Economic and Trade Affairs were present.
