CAIRO, 8th September, 2016 (WAM) – H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, participated in the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers, held in Cairo on Thursday ahead of the 146th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level.
The participants discussed major topics, notably, the Palestinian issue, and crises in Syria, Libya and Yemen, as well as efforts to combat terrorism. They also addressed the Iranian interference in the internal affairs of the region, and the Turkish interference in Arab affairs.
They discussed the efforts to rid the Middle East of nuclear weapons as well as development and reforms in the Arab League.
The meeting was attended by Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Khemaies Jhinaoui, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tunisia, whose country chairs the current session, and Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League.
