ABU DHABI,- The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) and the Abu Dhabi Police General HQ (ADP), today signed an agreement at the Abu Dhabi Police General HQ, to implement a strategy providing the latest international services to the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The agreement aims to enhance mechanisms of co-operation and partnership between the two parties on issues of mutual interests.

H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, attended the signing of the agreement between Yousef Saeed Al Abri, Acting Under-Secretary of the ADJD, and Major General Maktoum Ali Al Shareefi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police.

Sheikh Mansour emphasised that the agreement is in line with the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to establish the rule of law and security as the basis for improving social and economic stability in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

It will also implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on the importance of strategic co-operation and co-ordination among government departments in the emirate to provide state-of-the-art services.

The agreement will strengthen co-operation and work mechanisms between the two sides, speed up resolution of issues of mutual interest, and improve the performance in all domains, confirmed Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithi, Commander-in-Chief of the Abu Dhabi Police, who also attended the meeting.

Sheikh Mansour also visited the Abu Dhabi Police Forensic Evidence Department and inspected sections and branches of the Forensic Evidence laboratory. He was accompanied by Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, and other senior police officers. He was also briefed about its sections and specialties and met a number of UAE citizens working in the laboratory.
