AJMAN -- Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Supreme Census Committee, has declared that the total number of the emirate's population reached 504,847 people.
He added that the population census project in Ajman had achieved its desired national results through the excellent solidarity of the efforts of its work team, and the interaction of all families with researchers or through electronic registration using the self-census website.
This came during a speech delivered by Sheikh Rashid at the closing ceremony of the population census project honouring the successful partnership of the committees, field work teams and sponsors, with the attendance of Eng. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary-General of the Executive Council and Director-General of the Census, and Dr. Hajar Al Hubaishi, Assistant Director-General of the Census, with the excellent participation of managers and field researchers.
Sheikh Rashid honoured the Supreme Committee and the excellent manpower in the three categories of Excellent Overseeing Centre, Excellent Researcher and Excellent Monitor. He also honoured sponsors that contributed to the success of the census project.
