SHARJAH, -- The Good and Giving Club in Al Qasimia University has launched, with co-ordination from the Social Services Department in Sharjah, the "Barakat Al Bait" (House Blessing) project, as part of the university's activities for the Year of Giving.
The project is one of the innovative student programmes supervised by the Dean of Student Affairs, through its vision of strengthening communication with the elderly, as well as visiting and meeting them.
The meeting included conversations with elderly people about their lives, experiences and hobbies. It also listened to their expertise, followed by the giving of commemorative gifts to them.
Dr. Rashad Salem, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University, praised the initiative with a beautiful title, "Barakat Al Bait", while highlighting its importance as part of the activities of the "Year of Giving", which aims to achieve social communication and solidarity to spread happiness and positivity, and promote good relationships between the current generation and their parents by helping them and listening to them, stressing the University's desire to support and develop these student initiatives.
