CAIRO, 1st November, 2015 (WAM) — Dr. Nabil Al-Araby, Secretary-General of the Arab League, has welcomed the results of the international talks on the Syrian crisis, held in Vienna, Austria.

In a statement, Al-Araby said, “The conferees agreed to meet again within two weeks which reflects the serious stance of the international community on the need to find a peaceful settlement to the conflict and put an end to the suffering of the Syrian people.”

The Arab League Secretary-General voiced hope for bridging the gap between the concerned parties on the sticking points, and prioritising the interests, unity and safety of the Syrian people.
