CAIRO, 12th September, 2016 (WAM) – Calling the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, which was recently passed by the US Congress, a flawed law, the Arab League has said it could worsen relations between countries and have potential repercussions on the already instable regional conditions.

”This act contains provisions that contradict the principles of the United Nations Charter or the well-established rules of international law. It does not stand on any principles of international norms or relations between states,” said Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the Arab League Secretary-General, in a statement on Monday.

Aboul Gheit reaffirmed the Pan-Arab body’s unequivocal position of condemning all manifestations and forms of terrorism.
