Arab League warns of dangers of continued Israeli violations

CAIRO, 9th November, 2015 (WAM) -- The Arab League Council has warned that continuous Israeli violations could lead to an end of any political settlement for the Palestinian problem based on the two-state solution.

Assistant Secretary-General for Palestine and Occupied Arab Territories, Dr. Said Abu Ali, said during a meeting with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East that the Palestinian people were rising up to protest Israel's hostilities against them. He warned that the recent escalations threaten the peace and security of the entire region.

Abu Ali called on the international community to provide the necessary protection to the people of Palestine against Israeli crimes. He also called on the international community to empower the Palestinian people by embracing their right to establish their independent state, with Jerusalem as the capital.
