CAIRO, 19th July, 2016 (WAM)–Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, has hailed the facilities provided by the Government of Mauritania to the 27th session of the Arab summit, which will be held on July 25- 26, to make it a success to serve the interests of the Arab world as a whole.

In a statement issued today, Al Jarwan commended the Mauritanian government’s keenness to support and promote the joint Arab action.

Also, the Arab parliament speaker lauded the naming of the biggest street in the capital Nouakchott after the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, with a view to honour the late Arab leader on his valuable contributions to promoting the Arab solidarity and unity.

Al Jarwan called on the Arab states to invest in Mauritania in a manner that supports the desired Arab economic integration.

He referred to Mauritania’s pivotal role in the joint Arab action system, and noted that the Arab peoples look forward to resolutions of this summit, chaired by Mauritania. Al Jarwan said that hopes were pinned on the summit to come up with the resolutions that would bolster the national security, development and prosperity of the Arab world.

The Arab parliament speaker stressed that the parliament puts all its available potentials to serve the Arab peoples.
