Burger scent with fries, please
Burger King said on Friday that a Whopper grilled beef burger-scented cologne will be sold only on April 1, and only in Japan. The limited “Flame Grilled” fragrance, of which only 1,000 bottles will be available, can be purchased for 5,000 yen (about $40), including the burger. Burger King said it hopes the scent would also seduce new grill-beef burger fans.
Police detain 1,000 over exam cheating
Police have detained more than 1,000 people in eastern India over an exam cheating scandal, a senior officer said on Sunday. TV images last week showed dozens of people clinging to the windows of a four-story building to pass cheat sheets in the state of Bihar, where more than 1.4 million teenagers are sitting their school-leaving exams. Other images showed school staff and armed police officers standing by as people smuggled in study aids to candidates inside examination centers.
Super-tobacco hooks teens
The American Cancer Society and the World Lung Foundation in 2013 found that 15.6 percent of male teenagers smoke tobacco daily in the United Arab Emirates, as do 18.1 percent of men. Medwakh, which means “dizziness” in Arabic and is a tobacco which teenagers and men smoke in small pipes, is used widely in the country causing health watchdogs increasing concern. One puff of this “super-tobacco” is strong enough to make users dizzy.
