Iran should increase pressure on Armenia. Sooner or later, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict will be resolved. The sooner the conflict is settled, the better it is. Problems caused by this conflict do not go beyond Iran-Azerbaijan relations, either, because one usually expects more from a close friend or neighbor.
Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs, made the remarks on Wednesday during his meeting with a delegation led by Ali Rabei, Iran’s Minister of Labor, Cooperatives, and Social Welfare, APA reported.
Ali Hasanov underlined that neighboring country should increase pressure on the invader so that the conflict can be settled soon. If settled, the Armenians would benefit from it more than anyone else.
The Armenians will benefit from our oil and gas and join the regional projects. This conflict is the result of the interests of large states rather than the conflict between the two nations, the deputy PM noted,
Stressing that Iran will never forget the support of Azerbaijan in its nuclear program, Ali Rabiei said that though earlier Iran was not allowed for nuclear enrichment, today the amount of uranium to be enriched is the subject of debate. He mentioned that Iran has always supported and will continue to support Azerbaijan.
