MANAMA, 30th August, 2016 (WAM) — His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain met yesterday with Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Arab League Secretary-General.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, BNA, King Hamad re-affirmed his country’s support to all efforts and steps to strengthen pan-Arab joint action. He underscored the importance of unifying pan-Arab stances to tackle crucial issues and stave off challenges as the Arab nation goes through a defining moment of its history.
King Hamad hailed the dedicated efforts of the Arab-League chief and staff to enhance the work mechanisms of the Arab League, bolster Arab solidarity, defend just Arab causes and achieve the hopes and aspirations of Arab peoples towards a secure and stable future. He reiterated Bahrain’s stance, backing all initiatives and efforts to serve the Arab nation, strengthen its unity and maintain its security and stability.
The meeting also touched on developments in the Arab region.
Arab League Secretary-General briefed the Bahraini King on the role and efforts made by the Arab-League to unify stances between all Arab countries.
