NEW YORK, 7th October, 2015 (WAM) — The United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, has urged participants in the Libyan political dialogue to urgently conclude the process and sign an agreement leading to the formation of a Government of National Accord.

According to a statement issued yesterday, a spokesman said, “The Secretary-General commends the political will and courage of Libyans who remain committed to resolving the current crisis through dialogue.”

The statement said that the appeal had been previously issued by member states and regional organisations during a high-level meeting convened by Ban on the 2nd of October in New York on the margins of the General Assembly’s annual debate, UNGA 70.
