According to the source, the development of the government programs for the next five years is virtually completed. Their list has been approved by the head of state, with 19 out of 20 programs adopted. The government program on innovative development will be submitted for the presidential approval by 1 July, said Vasily Matyushevsky.
The official reminded that the head of state had backed the government’s proposals to tweak the state support system by switching to result-oriented budgeting. In practice it will mean that government programs will have a certain limited budget to reach specific development goals.
According to First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vasily Matyushevsky, state support will be granted within the framework of the specified government programs via tenders. Economic operators regardless of their forms of ownership will have access to these tenders. ”The procedure has already been set by the government. Those, who can prove they can reach the set goals with maximum efficiency, will be granted state support,” assured Vasily Matyushevsky.
