DUBAI, 24th August, 2016 (WAM) – Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul AlFalasi, Minister of State for Higher Education, has attended the reception hosted by the General-Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, at Hyatt Regency hotel in Dubai, on 97th national day anniversary of Afghanistan.
The event was also attended by members of the consulate, senior officials and representatives of the Afghan community in the UAE.
Abdul Samad Afghan, Consul-General of Afghanistan in Dubai hailed the relations between the UAE and Afghanistan, and noted that the deep-rooted relations have been based on mutual respect. He added that the relations date back to the era of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and were crowned with the signing of the strategic partnership between the two countries on 14th January, 2015.
The Afghan Consul-General underlined that the friendly relations between the two countries reflect positively on the Afghan community living in the UAE, where they enjoy all the legal rights to a decent living and working in different occupations and jobs, as well as enjoying the safety and security, along with the people of the UAE, whom they share religion, habits and traditions.
