Arab Foreign Ministers Convene in Cairo to Discuss Stopping Israeli Aggression on Gaza

Cairo: Foreign Ministers from Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, and the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, convened in Cairo on Thursday to address the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza.

According to Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on the urgent need to secure a ceasefire and provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Yemeni meteorology forecasts sparse rains, active winds


Some Yemeni provinces are expected to see sparse rains, the national meteorology center forecasted on Thursday, as the southern part of the West Coasts and Bab al-Mandeb will see active to strong winds in the next 24 hours.

Parts of Sa’ada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, Sana’a, Dhamar, Rima, Ibb – and probably of Tehama plain and West Coast – will witness rainfalls, sometimes with thunder, the center added in daily publication seen by Saba.

The southern part of the West Coast and Bab al-Mandeb will likely see active to strong winds up to 24 knots.

King attends JAF ceremony marking Al Karamah Battle’s 56th anniversary

Amman: His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Thursday attended the JAF’s ceremony marking Al Karamah Battle’s 56th anniversary.

Upon arrival at the memorial site for the martyrs of Al Karamah Battle, His Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Hneiti and senior officers.

The King inspected the Honour Guards as Royal Jordanian Air Force F-16 fighter jets conducted a flypast.

His Majesy also laid a wreath at the Unknown Soldier Monument and recited verses from the Holy Quran.

His Highness Prince Mired bin Ra’ad, chief royal councillor at the Royal Hashemite Court, and senior officials and officers attended the ceremony

Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah receives ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions in UAE


RAS AL KHAIMAH: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received this evening a number of ambassadors of Arab, Islamic and foreign countries, and representatives of diplomatic missions in the UAE, who came to congratulate Sheikh Saud on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Saud exchanged congratulations with the delegation, and extended heartfelt wishes for enduring prosperity and blessings on Arab and Islamic nations worldwide.

The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah held an iftar banquet at the Khuzam Palace Majlis in honour of the guests.

The reception and the banquet were attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al Qasimi, Vice Chairman of the Investment and Development Office; Sheikh Saqr bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RAK Ceramics; and a number of sheikhs and senior officials.
