RIYADH, 10th October, 2016 (WAM) — The Command of the Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Yemen has announced the interception of two ballistic missiles launched by Houthi militias.

The Saudi Press Agency, SPA, quoted a statement of the coalition command as saying that the first was launched on Sunday afternoon from Sanaa toward Marib in Yemen, and the second was launched from the north of Saada a few hours later toward the city of Taif.

The statement added that air defence was able to intercept and destroy the missiles without suffering any damage, and meanwhile, the coalition’s air forces targeted the sites of the launch.
