The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) has organised a series of events and activities to celebrate International Women’s Day, observed globally on 8th March each year. s part of this initiative, the foundation distributed awareness leaflets to Digital Dubai Authority employees and hosted an awareness session titled “The DFWAC Role in Supporting Victims of Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, and Trafficking” at Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dubai International Academic City. Sheikha Saeed Al Mansouri, Acting Director-General of the foundation, underscored the importance of celebrating International Women’s Day and lauded the Emirati approach to empowering women and boosting their potential. She commended the country’s leadership for spearheading efforts to promote gender balance across various sectors, including government representation, parliament, science, wages, business, leadership positions, sports, and social status. l Mansouri emphasised that the Dubai Foundation’s experience in safeguarding and empowering women is a testament to the country’s unwavering commitment to upholding women’s rights.
