Earthquake jolts western Iran

TEHRAN, 15th February, 2016 (WAM) -- An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale has hit the town of Mormuri in Iran's western Ilam province bordering Khuzestan and Lorestan.

IRNA News Agency quoted the Seismological Centre of the Geophysics Institute of University of Tehran as saying that the epicentre of the quake was registered at 22.49 degrees longitude and 47.91 degrees latitude.

There was no report of casualties or damages.
