CAIRO, 27th December, 2015 (WAM) — Egyptian forces have killed two ‘terrorist elements’ in northern Sinai, where it is battling insurgency.

Egyptian military spokesman, Brigadier-General Mohammed Samir, was quoted by Associated Press as saying in a statement on his official Facebook page that security forces chased two militants as they fled on a motorcycle, killing one and injuring another, in the provincial capital of el-Arish. In another incident, military forces pursued a third militant near Mount Halal, leading to his death during a gunfight.
