CAIRO, 26th February, 2016 (WAM) — Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi begins an Asian tour that will include Kazakhstan, Japan and South Korea, a statement from his office announced on Thursday.

In Kazakhstan, el-Sisi will meet President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov. They will discuss bilateral relations between the two countries as well as efforts to fight terrorism and radicalism, the statement added.

The Egyptian president will also deliver a speech at Nazarbayev University about political and economic developments in Egypt and the region.

Following his visit to the central Asian country, el-Sisi will head to Japan where he will meet Japanese Emperor Akihito and Japanese PM Shinzo Abe. The two will exchange views on how they can strengthen political and economic cooperation between their respective countries.

In Japan el-Sisi will also meet the head of the Japan International Cooperation Agency as well as Tokyo’s governor.

Egypt’s president will also hold a meeting with Japanese businesspersons and will attend an economic forum organised by the Egyptian-Japanese business council.

El-Sisi will concluded his Asian tour in South Korea where he will meet South Korean President Park Geun-hye and South Korean PM Hwang Kyo-ahn, as well the Speaker of National Assembly of South Korea.

President Abdel-Fattah el-Sisi will also meet representatives and CEOs of South Koreans corporations, in addition to attending a meeting of the Egyptian-Korean business council.
