MANAMA, Bahrain, - The Emir of Bahrain, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, attended the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, at Yas Marina Circuit, which marks the final race of the season.
The Emir praised the success of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, noting the role played by the Yas Marina Circuit, in driving motor sport growth across the region.
Shaikh Isa went on to stress that, the success of the Bahrain and Abu Dhabi F1 races, highlight the region's commitment to further expanding its fast-growing tourism sector, through hosting world-class events.
The Emir extended his best wishes to the leadership and people of the UAE, on the success of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
He concluded by highlighting the organisational ability Bahrain and the UAE have demonstrated, in consistently holding these successful large and complex events, adding that, these achievements are representative of the region's commitment to advancing citizens' skills and competitiveness.-
