Emir of Kuwait condemns Munich shopping mall shooting

KUWAIT, 22nd July, 2016 (WAM) -- His Highness the Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah of Kuwait condemned on Friday a shooting in a shopping mall in the German city of Munich, which reportedly killed and wounded a number of people.

The Emir of Kuwait, in a cable to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said, "The shooting targeted innocent civilians and was in contradiction with human values." The Emir reiterated Kuwait's support to the German government's measures against these criminal acts to restore the security and stability, according to Kuwait News Agency, (KUNA).

He reiterated the State of Kuwait's solidarity with the international community to tackle all forms of terrorism and liquidate all sources of its funding. The Emir extended condolences to the families of the victims, and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
