ABU DHABI, 19th August, 2016 (WAM) – Emirates E-Sports Society has announced it is currently studying the possibility of holding of a Gulf Championship that would gather the elite Gulf nationals in a tournament in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

The Finance Secretary of the Emirates E-Sports Society, Marwan al-Hashemi, stressed the society’s quest, led by its chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan, to provide income through the establishment of local and international tournaments, and attracting many participants and sponsors.

He pointed out that the association focusses its efforts on mental games such as the soccer electronic game.
