ADEN,-- The Emirates Red Crescent has distributed some 600 school bags to underprivileged students in Al Buraiqeh, a district of the governorate of Aden, southern Yemen.
The initiative is part of an extensive plan by the UAE humanitarian agency to support the educational sector in the governorates of Aden, Abyan, Lajh and Dalei and ease the suffering of the families of students, the representative of the Emirates Red Crescent in Aden noted while distributing the bags at the Hanish School in al-Faresi area, home to a large number of displaced people from the city of Hodeidah.
Local officials, including from the department of education, attended the distribution of the latest school aid from the UAE.
They thanked the UAE for supporting people in the governorate.
