ADEN, The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched a campaign titled "Childhood for Peace," in the Shomou nursery in Al-Bureiqa district, which was attended by many parents.
The campaign is part of the efforts by the ERC to ease the suffering of the Yemeni people, especially the children, during times of distress.
Director-General of the District Hani Al Yazidi stated that the campaign carried the message of love and peace for all humanity, especially for Yemen, which is under attacks led by the Houthi and Saleh militias.
The initiative is part of many being carried out by the ERC, and offers a message of Arab solidarity, which aims to spread peace, security and stability across Yemen, Al Yazidi pointed out.
The co-ordinator of the ERC remarked that the campaign would not be restricted to Yemen, but would be spread across its borders to deliver the message of "Our children must live in security, peace and health."
"We have launched this campaign to ensure their right to life, education, dignity and peace," she added.
She also thanked the partnering organisations for their co-operation in improving the lives of the children. "Our message today is of peace to the world, launched by the governorate of Aden."
Al Khedr Salem Ahmed, Head of the Education Administration's Office in Al-Bureiqa, has praised the Emirati Red Crescent for providing love and assistance to the city of Aden, and all of Yemen, through the campaign.
The headmistress of the nursery thanked the ERC for caring for the children of Aden and for selecting Shomou Nursery from which to launch its initiative.
