KERALA, 19th October, 2016 (WAM) – Expanding co-operation and bilateral ties was discussed with Chief Minister of Kerala, India, Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, today, during a meeting with a visiting UAE delegation to India.

The two sides discussed UAE-Indian bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in all economic, investment and diplomatic domains.

The UAE delegation included Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Elham Al Dhaheri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Consular Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Dr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Banna, Ambassador of the UAE to India.

The visit came within the framework of enhancing the growing relations between the two countries and the opening of the UAE’s consulate General in Kerala, the second Emirati consulate in India.

Al Raisi extended thanks and appreciation to the significant efforts exerted by the Indian government, as well as its role in boosting co-operation and friendship between the two countries. He also indicated that trade and economic exchanges between the UAE and India has strongly enhanced the ideal and multifaceted partnership between the UAE and India.

He further pointed out the distinguished contributions of the Indian community, most of whom have come from Kerala, which support economic development in both countries.
