DUBAI, - Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (EMPOWER), the world's largest district cooling services provider, has recorded a milestone achievement in power saving that touched 1000 megawatts in 2016, equivalent to AED 2.6 billion. The company said the saving isn't only impressive in terms of money but also environmentally as it means less consumption of energy and more reservation of natural resources.

"Efficiency and conservation are two main pillars in our general policy. We continuously work in enhancing the effectiveness of our services as well as save energy and reserve environmental resources without compromising on the quality of our services. We crossed an important advancement in this regard in the past years. We don't only save electricity but also our statistics state that we are saving on gas emissions and water consumptions through district cooling," said Ahmad Bin Shafar, Chief Executive Officer of Empower.

"We at Empower work according to the guidelines of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to reserve natural resources for generations to come.
