MIYOUN ISLAND, -- The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has for the fourth time, provided quantities of food aid for the population of the Island of Miyoun in Yemen.

The aid, which includes various food items, is in line with the philanthropic authority's support for liberated areas, as part of the UAE's approach to support the brotherly Yemeni people due to the current situation in their country.

Local officials on the island said that its population is in need of support in all fields. They also hailed the UAE's attention to implement the directives of the prudent Emirati leadership to reconstruct service facilities that were destroyed and looted by the Houthi and Saleh militias, during their control of Miyoun Island, located in the Red Sea near the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

The population praised the role that was played by the UAE to liberate the island from the militia, and its efforts to support and revamp service facilities, as well as for providing relief for the population to bring normalcy to life in the island.
