This is part of a continuing campaign by the organisation to provide support to national institutions and health facilities in a number of Yemeni regions, including Hadramaut.
Abdullah Al Musaferi, Head of the ERC team, confirmed his organisation’s strategy to fight malaria by delivering the insecticide-treated bed nets, as part of a wider campaign by the UAE to support the health-related projects and campaigns through strengthening the fight against the disease.
He highlighted the importance of using the insecticide-treated bed nets to help decrease the spread of the disease, and assured continuing support and implementation of health projects and campaigns by the Emirates Red Crescent.

The Director of the Programme for Fighting Malaria in Hadramaut, Dr. Yasser Abdullah Bahshim, praised the Emirates Red Crescent’s support for his region’s healthcare facilities and centres.
The campaign to protect residents from contracting Malaria using the insecticide-treated bed nets will focus on the Mukalla, where 50,000 bed nets have been distributed, an average of one for every two people, he said.
