Shahid Ullah, who was an army captain during the Liberation War, was detained by a team of the International Crimes Tribunal on Tuesday night from his home at the district's Daudkandi Upazila.
Local police OC Abu Salam Mia said that a raid was conducted after the tribunal issued a warrant for him.
He has been transported to Dhaka last night, he said.
