MANAMA, 1st November, 2015 (WAM) — Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States, GCC, has confirmed that a major change has occurred in Yemen, represented by the formation of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the start of “Operation Decisive Storm”, and then “Operation Restore Hope” to support Yemeni people and restore peace and security to Yemen, at the request of its legitimate leadership, as a result of of attacks and violations committed by forces opposed to the legality, which are inconsistent with all international laws and are incompatible with the authentic Arab values adhered to by Yemenis over the years.

The Bahrain News Agency, BNA, quoted Al-Zayani during a panel discussion which was held today at the Regional Security Summit, organised by the International Institute for Strategic Studies in the Kingdom of Bahrain, when he expressed his optimism about the future of Yemen, stressing that its people can recover and overcome this painful ordeal and will build its future with its resoluteness, the support of his brothers in the Gulf Cooperation Council and with support of the international community and friendly countries.

He said that Yemen will be more secure and stable and prosperous if they pursue an effective and comprehensive strategy to resolve the crisis in all its political, security, economic and social dimensions.
