Government of Yemen begins programme to incorporate resistance elements into national army

RIYADH, 13th November, 2015 (WAM)--The Yemeni government has embarked on the process of integrating the elements of the popular resistance gradually into the national army.

In a statement carried by the official Yemeni news agency, the government said that the competent authorities opened the two camps for the reception and training of the resistance elements since Yemeni President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, issued the orders for the merger process.

It pointed out that the popular resistance elements under training and rehabilitation will be included in the military brigades in the governorates of Aden, Lahij, Abyan and Al Dhale and Taiz.

The government said that the recruitment process is underway in accordance to the official armed forces' recruitment requirements.
