DUBAI, 8th June, 2016 (WAM) — Alexis Tsipras, Prime Minister of Greece was breifed on the Dubai leading experience in shifting to one of the most prestigious marine gatherings in the world and praised the pioneering achievements that positioned the emirate among the top tenth globally, in terms of competitiveness and attractiveness of maritime assembly components.

This remarks made during his visit to the platform of Dubai Maritime City Authority, DMCA, in Posidonia Exhibition 2016, the world’s most prestigious maritime event, which is being held from 6th -10th June 2016 in the Greek capital, Athens.

A number of senior officials of Dubai Maritime City Authority led by Amer Ali, Executive Director of DMCA discussed ways of enhancing maritime cooperation between the UAE and Greece, as both of them are key hubs on the map of maritime trade. The competative component of the emirate of Dubai was widely praised by the Greek side, which positioned it on par with the most important global maritime and logistics centers.

Mr. Ali noted to the importance of strengthening cooperation between the pioneers of the maritime sector in the UAE and Greece to improve maritime trade to a new level of growth.
