ABU DHABI-- H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, has praised the leadership's support to education in all the emirates, thanks to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's support to numerous educational projects in Al Dhafra Region.

He added these projects contributed to establishing integrated communities, providing the dignified living and elevating the level of education of the nation's children.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan also praised the care of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for providing an encouraging atmosphere for excellence and balanced competition among students, in line with the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030 and the UAE's strategy for educational system to be one of the five best developed global education systems.

This came during the visit of Sheikh Hamdan to the Baynounah Educational Complex in Madinat Zayed in Al Dhafra Region, which is part of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, ACTVET.

Sheikh Hamdan said that the complex, opened during the 2014-2015 academic year, and provides the Emirati community with advanced national qualifications and manpower in different industrial and engineering disciplines, which are required by the employment market.

Its courses and disciplines are also in line with the market, based on the accurate vision of the wise leadership to elevate technical and vocational education with confident steps towards a bright future, and achieving great benefits for the country.

He also praised the high standards of the Baynounah Educational Complex's establishments and scientific facilities. "This represents a great national success for the ACTVET to achieve this important strategic goal," Sheikh Hamdan said.

He called on the complex's organisers to provide an appropriate educational environment for creative and excellent students while encouraging their focus on education and training, as well as service and scientific facilities and laboratories.

Sheikh Hamdan toured several workshops and sections of the complex, which can absorb over 3,200 students, and its five institutions that include the Baynounah Institute, the Fatima College of Health Sciences, the Institute of Applied Technology, the Higher Colleges of Technology, the Secondary Technical School and the Applied Technology High School.

He was accompanied, during the visit, by Mohamed Hamad bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Ruler's Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region; Sultan bin Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Director of the Ruler's Representative in the Al Dhafra Regional Office and others.
