Ambassador Javed Malik, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy based in Gulf states has said that business to business contacts are vital for expansion of trade between Pakistan and the Gulf states.
“In this context special initiatives are needed to build closer interaction between Pakistani and gulf based businessmen,” Ambassador Javed said that in a message recieved here on Tuesday. He made these remarks after his discussions with Abdullah Saif Al Ghurair Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
While speaking to the media, the ambassador said that the presence of over 4 million Pakistanis in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is an important factor that brings Pakistan close to the Gulf region. He added that growing trade activity has also resulted in a strong business community of Pakistani origin based in UAE and other Gulf states that could act as a bridge in further expanding the economic and trade relations.
