DUBAI, -- The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, IACAD, in Dubai, and the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, MRHE, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as part of the strengthening of co-operation and joint work to achieve the giving initiatives that were launched by the department on 22nd February, 2017, including the "Preparing a Home" initiative, dedicated to the citizens of the UAE.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the IACAD by Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Charity Work Sector of the IACAD, and on behalf of the MRHE by Sami Abdullah Gargash, Executive Director of the MRHE.
Ahmad Darwish Al Muhairi said that the signing of the MoU strengthens the co-operation between the department and the establishment, especially as both aim to facilitate the movement of certain sectors of citizens to their homes, and to help them achieve this by providing and preparing proper housing, as appropriate for the citizens of Dubai, in light of "Preparing a Home" initiative.
He clarified that the strategic goals of signing the MoU are for supporting and strengthening the role that both parties play in the fields of charity and social work, while aiming to draw the limits of partnership ties between both sides through achieving their visions and strategic plans, and strengthening the satisfaction of their customers. It also aims to support their communication channels to achieve mutual common benefits, and to exchange knowledge and expertise on all levels of work and common activities.
Al Muhairi added that the department, according to this MoU, will provide funding to support the initiative, including "Zakat" and charity funds to build houses of citizens in need, achieve family stability and provide reliable shelter.
Sami Abdullah Gargash praised the efforts of IACAD and its initiatives in the field of charity work, including the "Preparing a Home" initiative. He also highlighted the importance of constructive co-operation in this field, as the MRHE aims to provide appropriate housing for the citizens of Dubai.
He noted that the MRHE offers a variety of management services, depending on quality and transparency standards, in light of this MoU with IACAD.
Gargash added that the MRHE will provide IACAD with a statistical schedule that includes names and data about those who will benefit from this initiative, as well as the means of transferring money to them. It will also enter their data into the "Emirates Charity Portal" to confirm the clauses detailing help from the department.
