GAZA, 1st October, 2015 (WAM) — The Israeli occupation authorities has announced that the Karam Abu Salem crossing will be closed from Friday for four days, under the pretext of upcoming Jewish holidays.
Raed Fattouh, Head of the Coordination Committee for the entry of goods into the Gaza Strip, said that Karam Abu Salem crossing will be reopened next Tuesday, but quantities of fuel will be pumped next Sunday.
Fattouh added that the crossing was opened this morning, allowing the entry of 919 truckloads of goods for the commercial, agricultural and aid sectors, including 150 truckloads with construction materials. Quantities of fuel were also be pumped.
Karam Abu Salem is the only commercial crossing operating in Gaza for the entry of good, aid and fuel.
