Tokyo, 8th June, 2016 (WAM) – Japan’s gross domestic product in January-March grew a revised 0.5 pct from the previous quarter in price-adjusted real terms, stronger than the preliminary reading of a 0.4 pct rise, the Cabinet Office said Wednesday.

On an annualized basis, the country’s GDP rose 1.9 pct in the final quarter of fiscal 2015, against the 1.7 pct increase shown in the preliminary report released last month,Jiji Press reported, citing the government revised report, carried by In nominal terms, Japan’s GDP grew a revised 0.6 pct quarter on quarter, against the preliminary reading of a 0.5 pct increase. At an annual rate, the GDP growth came to 2.4 pct, up from the 2.0 pct expansion reported in May.
