LONDON, 14th July, 2016 (WAM) — The Office of the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, announced last night the appointment of Boris Johnson as Foreign Secretary. Johnson replaces Philip Hammond who was named as Chancellor of the Exchequer.

In a statement, the British Cabinet said that Energy Secretary Amber Rudd was also appointed as British Interior (Home Office) Minister. Defence Minister, Michael Fallon will retain his post in May’s new cabinet, and Liam Fox, a pro-Brexit campaigner, was appointed as Minister for International Trade, according to May’s office.
