Jordan condemns Somali hotel attack

AMMAN, 28th February, 2016 (WAM) -- Jordan has condemned a terrorist attack that hit a hotel in a public garden Friday night in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, leaving scores dead and injured.

Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted the Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communications of Jordan, Mohammad Momani, as renewing Jordan's firm and constant stance in rejecting all terror acts which represent the ideologies of terror groups that aim to destabilise security and the stability of innocent people.

Momani, who is also the government's spokesperson, called on the international community to double its efforts to encounter terrorism that increasingly threatens world peace and stability. He reaffirmed Jordan's stance in support of the Somali government and people as they stand up to face terrorism and extremism.
