WASHINGTON, 12th January, 2016 (WAM) — Jordan and the United States have signed a joint action plan to combat the smuggling of nuclear and radioactive materials. The agreement aims to build the Kingdom’s capacity on the detection and prevention of nuclear and radioactive materials’ smuggling.

According to the Jordanian News Agency, Petra, the agreement was signed by Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, Nasser Judeh, and U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, on the sidelines of an official visit by His Majesty King Abdullah II to the US.
