AMMAN, 10th November, 2015 (WAM) — King Abdullah II of Jordan, and Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP, have discussed the organisations’ support for Jordan in shouldering the burden of hosting Syrian refugees, within a holistic, developmental and sustainable approach.

According to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, the meeting touched on the support provided by the UNDP to contribute to strengthening the Kingdom’s development and reform process, its efforts in hosting Syrian refugees and providing them with relief and humanitarian services.

The meeting also talked about the Resilience Development Forum, which the Kingdom is currently hosting at the invitation of the UNDP invitation, which aims to work towards a radical change in the international community’s response to crises, particularly that of the Syrian refugees.
