AMMAN, 4th August, 2016 (WAM) — Jordan’s State Security Court on Thursday sentenced a terrorist to death for attacking a General Intelligence Department’s office in Al-Baqaa and killing five servicemen in June.

The Jordan News Agency, PETRA, reported that the court found the attacker, Mahmoud Masharfeh, guilty of committing terrorist acts that led to the death of a number of people, according to Attorney General, Ziad Edwan.

The State Security Court also decided to sentence a second defendant, Sami Abu Omar, to one year’s imprisonment after amending and reducing his charge from the felony of selling weapons for illegal use to a misdemeanor of selling weapons.
