BAMAKO, 28th June, 2016 (WAM) — The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation (KF) has provided Iftar meals to about 1,250 needy families in the capital Bamako and a number of surrounding villages.

A KF official said the Iftar project is part of the third phase of the Ramadan programme designated for the Republic of Mali. The source also added that the Ramadan programme is in line with the directives of the wise leadership.

He indicated that more than 1,000 poor families have benefited from the distribution of food parcels in Bamako.

Beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the role played by the UAE in the humanitarian aid domain. They also extended thanks to the KF for its multiple humanitarian projects across the world.
